Community Emergency Services Manager - Chittering
- This position is a fixed term full-time opportunity commencing
as soon as possible for a period of six (6) months with the
possibility of extensions and/or permanency.This selection process
may be used to fill other similar at level vacancies that arise

safely and effectively manage emergency events.About the RoleThe
Community Emergency Services Manager (CESM) fosters effective and
professional working relationships between DFES, Local Government,
and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective
implementation and delivery of prevention, preparedness, response,
and recovery services at an operational level within Local
Government.The Community Emergency Services Manager also provides
leadership and undertakes the duties of Chief Bushfire Control
Officer (CBFCO) for the Shire of Chittering. The CESM works to
facilitate fire mitigation and other hazards in the community by
coordinating a range of strategies in partnership with the
community, Local Government, and volunteers.PrerequisitesApplicants
must have the following prerequisites:
- Recognised qualification in Training and
- Accredited Level 1 Incident Controller - BushfireEmployment
Conditions and Additional InformationDFES is an emergency services
organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel
outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies.
